Another Natural Perspective 

A solo exhibition of watercolour paintings with natural history the underlying theme.

Natural Perspective was conceived as an exhibition of watercolour paintings depicting images of natural history elements combined with favoured elements from my studio, particularly blue and white china. Many of these were from my mother’s collection. The plants were from local gardens or my own, all very familiar to me. The gum leaves, persimmon and green cup were from my partner’s farm. The birds were painted from museum specimens as I wanted to keep the exhibition as true to nature as possible.

A Natural Perspective was held at Mitchell Fine Art, Brisbane in 2019, and the following year I continued the theme for a second iteration at Stella Downer Fine Art in Sydney in 2020 in Another Natural Perspective adding some new paintings.
