Gallipoli Art Prize 2026

The Gallipoli Art Prize was conceived in 2004 and commemorates the legacy of those heroes who fought on the Gallipoli Peninsula in 1915.

This is the fourth time I have been honoured to be selected for this prestigious award.

As a past winner of the Gallipoli Art Prize in 2022, I continue to value the opportunity to exhibit with selected artists who demonstrate their respect for our servicemen and women through their art.

The Gallipoli Art Prize is awarded to the artist who best depicts the spirit of the Gallipoli Campaign as expressed in the Club’s “Creed”.

We believe that within the community there exists an obligation for all to preserve the special qualities of loyalty, respect, love of country, courage and comradeship which were personified by the heroes of the Gallipoli Campaign and bequeathed to all humanity as a foundation for perpetual peace and universal freedom.

ACAR Art Prize
2026

The ACAR Art Prize is awarded by Australia China Art Residency Ltd (ACAR). It is specifically designed to honour artistic excellence and to recogize artists who are outstanding advocates for Australia-China cultural exchange.

Travelling through China I was struck by vast rural vistas, not dissimilar to the views I am familiar with.

StillLIFE tells of hay as a life-sustaining resource; coming from the land and then returning to it.  The cycle of life.

China and Australia share a respect for the natural environment. It shapes the way we live and the art we make.

Lustre:
Australian Artists in Greece & Crete

In October 2025 a group of Australian artists travelled to Greece and Crete, following the footsteps of WW2 Australian Lustre Force troops.

The artwork is part of an exhibition touring to five venues, opening in Anzac Memorial, Hyde Park, Sydney 20 May 2026.

My major works were inspired by the Unknown Warrior tomb, Athens.
