Australia's most prestigious prize for women painters of portraits
Riste Andrievski is an eminent Australian photographer. He is my friend and colleague having worked together on several art projects, the latest being Lustre: Contemporary artists in Greece & Crete.
In 2025 Riste introduced me to North Macedonia, the place of his ancestors.
The portrait was inspired by his struggle with identity, his religiosity, and his loyalty to both places he calls his home.

Lustre:
Contemporary Artists in Greece & Crete
In October 2025 a group of artists travelled to Greece and Crete following the footsteps of WW2 ANZAC servicemen and women.
The campaign titled Lustre Force was doomed from the beginning. The ANZACs fought with courage and loyalty but were ultimately defeated by superior German firepower.
The exhibition Lustre: Contemporary Artists in Greece & Crete tours to five venues opening in Anzac Memorial, Hyde Park, Sydney on 20 May 2026.
