Works on paper
I have been working with watercolour on paper for over 25 years.
For most of this time, botanical illustration was my primary focus. However, in 2013 during an artist trip to Gallipoli, I began documenting objects other than natural history subjects.
I followed the same process that I used with botanical illustration; accuracy in size and colour on archival watercolour paper and, less frequently, vellum.
My love of natural history endures however, as my art practice evolves, I find myself working outside the strict parameters of scientific illustration.
Drawing is the foundation of all my artwork. Today, I use a range of media to achieve my goals.
