BOTANICA, ROYAL BOTANIC GARDENS SYDNEY DIRECTOR'S PRIZE

Every year from 2000 to 2015, Deirdre had work selected for Botanica, an exhibition of botanical art at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney.  She was awarded the inaugural (acquisitive) Director’s Prize for botanical excellence for her watercolour painting Papaver rhoeas (Poppy) in 2015.

AMERICAN SOCIETY OF BOTANICAL ARTISTS 25TH ANNIVERSARY 2019

Deirdre’s painting ‘Silver fern’ was selected for the American Society of Botanical Art’s 25th Anniversary publication in 2019.

AUSTRALIA POST COMMISSION

In 2013 Deirdre was commissioned to paint a series of four stamps for Australia Post, the flowering shrubs of Christmas Island.
