Nature has inspired Deirdre to paint her subjects closely, revealing the intricate detail and perfect forms that the eye sometimes misses. As science highlights the many threats to plant life, her interest has expanded to painting species of environmental importance and vulnerability, particularly the mangroves of Australia.
